OnSaveInstanceState nie jest wywoływany w Fragment

Wiem, że ludzie zadali to pytanie, ale śledziłem wszystkie odpowiedzi i wciąż mam ten sam problem. Mam dwa skrypty Jeden to menedżer fragmentów (IngredientsActivity), a drugi to fragment (OtherList). Kod jest następujący

Znalazłem wiele sugestii, które mówiły o zastąpieniu stanu onSaveInstanceState, co zrobiłem i jeszcze więcej powiedziałem, że mam użyć setRetainInstance. Nie wiem, dlaczego stan setRetainInstance byłby pomocny, jeśli chcę zapisać wartość listy.Moje pytanie-Dlaczego nie wywołuje składowania w klasie OtherList lub jaka jest lepsza metoda do wdrożenia, jeśli chcę zapisać wartości w widoku listy (w tym przypadku używam pól wyboru)
