problem z przewijaniem edittext

wspomina się, że nie można go przewijać za pomocą singleLine = true.

Mam więc dwie opcje:

Sprawdzam, czy użytkownik wprowadza „n” i usuwa to, a następnie muszę się martwić o rzeczy w drugiej linii.

Używam niestandardowych tekstów, które przewijają się w pętli, czy może to być użyte tutaj tylko dla podpowiedzi?
