odpowiedź jest zwracana z ajax z tym kodem:

po uruchomieniu kodu nadal otrzymuję następujący błąd (z ajax):

Próbowałem także wyświetlić obiekt serializowanyList<Gps> w tej samej stronie java bez ajax, jak następuje:
