Walidacja formularza mobilnego jQuery bez wyników

Próbuję nauczyć się sprawdzania poprawności formularza jQuery dla jQuery Mobile. Ciągle się spotykamten samouczek, które próbuję replikować, ale z linkami zasobów musi być coś nie tak, ponieważ HTML wygląda dobrze. Teoretycznie, gdy użytkownik kliknie enter, a pole e-mail i hasło są puste, powinien pojawić się komunikat informujący użytkownika, że „to pole jest wymagane”.
