Synteza plików WAV od podstaw - C

Niedawno widziałem wykład wideo w mojej klasie CS 101, który zainspirował mnie do rozpoczęcia gry w formacie plików WAV w C. Mój projekt tworzy dziś dźwięki za pomocą prostej matematycznej funkcji sinus. Pomimo kilku przeszkód, mój program może teraz zaakceptować kilka wejść (częstotliwości fal, amplitudy fal, częstotliwość próbkowania itp.) I utworzyć plik wav zawierający określone skoki.

Jednak podczas odtwarzania tych dźwięków na moich głośnikach komputerowych występuje dziwny, rytmiczny trzask, który zmienia się wraz z częstotliwością próbkowania. Przy wyższych częstotliwościach próbkowania częstotliwość trzaskającego dźwięku wzrasta i zamienia się w irytujący jęk.

Dziwne jest to, że trzaskający dźwięk jest spójny na różnych komputerach z tym samym plikiem.

Poniżej opublikuję kod, którego używam do generowania pliku WAV. Wszelkie spostrzeżenia na temat tego, co może powodować to zjawisko, zostaną docenione. To chyba tylko głupi błąd z mojej strony. :)
