Tenho um xml no seguinte formato;

O que eu gostaria de fazer é - o Período e o Subperíodo são recolhidos quando abro o html e depois os expandimos quando clico nel

Com o exposto acima, não consigo expandir o subperíodo. Eu tentei passardocument.getElementById(subper_expand{position()}') como o primeiro argumento para oexpandit função. Desta vez, sou capaz de expandir o subperíodo, mas o problema é que ele sempre se refere ao subperíodo do primeiro período (mesmo quando clico no segundo ou no terceiro período).

Alguém pode me ajudar aqui
