iOS: existe atualmente uma maneira de impedir que dois controladores de exibição sejam pressionados ou ativados ao mesmo tempo?

A única solução que eu vi foi uma resposta a uma pergunta do stackoverflow. Eu postei o link abaixo. A resposta que estou me referindo é a quinta. Parece que alguns usuários têm alguns problemas com a solução, no entanto. Não sei se existe outra categoria para impedir que dois controladores sejam enviados ao mesmo tempo. Todas as dicas ou sugestões são apreciadas.
