python - memória não sendo devolvida ao kernel

Eu tenho um script muito simples que aloca memória,dels a única referência a um objeto considerável, durante todo o tempo de impressãoheapy epidstat relatórios. Depois de executar o script, o heapy me diz que não deve haver muita memória sendo usada enquanto o pidstat me diz o contrário:
