Agregue capas de abandono entre capas densas preentrenadas en keras

Enkeras.applications, hay un modelo VGG16 pre-entrenado en imagenet.

Me gustaría afinar este modelo con capas de abandono entre las capas densas (fc1, fc2 y predicciones), manteniendo intactos todos los pesos pre-entrenados del modelo. Sé que es posible acceder a cada capa individualmente conmodel.layers, pero no he encontrado en ninguna parte cómo agregar nuevas capas entre las capas existentes.

¿Cuál es la mejor práctica de hacer esto?
