No se puede obtener la aplicación jersey 2 para usar jackson XmlMapper personalizado

Estoy escribiendo una aplicación web usando Jersey 2.22.1 y Jackson 2.6.3. Mi pom.xml se ve así:

El objetivo es utilizar diferentes ObjectMappers personalizados para mapeo JSON y XML. He creado dos clases de proveedor: JSONMapperProvider

Ambos están en el mismo paquete que está registrado en la clase de recurso Aplicación

Si hago una solicitud GET al método que @Produces (MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON) todo está bien y se usa mi mapeador personalizado. Pero si hago la misma solicitud para emthod que la aplicación @Produces (MediaType.APPLICATION_XML) use algún mapeador predeterminado, no el personalizado.
