CoreAudio AudioUnitSetProperty siempre falla al establecer la frecuencia de muestreo

Necesito cambiar la frecuencia de muestreo de salida de 44.1 a 32.0, pero siempre arroja un error, Out: AudioUnitSetProperty-SF = \ 217 \ 325 \ 377 \ 377, -10865. No sé por qué me permitirá configurarlo para la entrada, pero luego no configurarlo para la salida.
