PyPy significativamente mais lento que CPython
Venho testando um sistema de cache da minha criação. Seu objetivo é acelerar um aplicativo da web Django. Ele armazena tudo na memória. De acordo com o cProfile, a maior parte do tempo em meus testes é passada dentro do QuerySet._clone (), que acaba sendo terrivelmente ineficiente (na verdade não é tão estranho, dada a implementação
Eu estava com grandes esperanças de usar o PyPy para acelerar as coisas. Eu tenho uma máquina de 64 bits. No entanto, depois de instalar todas as bibliotecas necessárias, verifica-se que o código compilado do PyPy roda cerca de 2,5x mais lentamente que o código normal do Python, e não sei o que fazer com ele. O código é vinculado à CPU (não há absolutamente nenhuma consulta ao banco de dados, portanto, o limite de IO não é uma opção). Um único teste é executado por cerca de 10 segundos, então acho que deve ser suficiente para o JIT entrar. Estou usando o PyPy 1.5. Uma observação - eu não compilei as fontes, apenas baixei uma versão linux de 64 bits.
Gostaria de saber com que frequência é frequente um código intensivo de CPU ser executado mais lentamente no PyPy. Esperançosamente, há algo errado que eu poderia ter feito para impedir que o PyPy funcione da melhor maneira possíve
