detecção de colisão no jogo não está funcionando como eu que

As colisões não estão funcionando da maneira que eu quero. Quero que, sempre que você bata em um barco, seja enviado de volta ao MENUSTATE, e sempre que você aperta um peixe, a imagem desaparece e o jogo continua em execução. Pelo que tentei, o jogo voltará para MENUSTATE após uma colisão de barco enquanto os dois objetos ainda colidirem, mas voltará para GAMESTATE quando terminar. Como posso tê-lo para que ele permaneça permanentemente no MENUSTATE após uma colisão com o barco, e como proceder para remover a imagem do peixe quando você colide com um e o jogo ainda continua?
