Swift 4 Estranho salto inesperado de volta ao storyboard anterior

Sou muito novo no Swift e no Xcode e construí um aplicativo simples de dois storyboards que possui uma tela de boas-vindas e um botão que aciona um seque para o segundo storyboard (para o qual criei sua própria classe com base no UIVIewController. possui alguns objetos UIPickerView ae alguns objetos UIDatePickerView e um botão.Tenho algumas ações básicas sob a função didSelectRow.No entanto, quando construo e executo o aplicativo, recebo um bevahiour estranho e aparentemente aleatório ao selecionar algo no primeiro seletor O modo de exibição me leva de volta à tela de boas-vindas (um desenrolamento?). Eu não coloquei nenhum código para fazer isso! Alguma idéia?
