Por que essa leitura cin está congestionada?

Identifiquei uma falha no meu programa que me impede de atribuir um valor à variáveladdAntonymAnswer1. Eu tentei corrercin.clear() antes da declaração para obter a coisa leia meuyes/no resposta, mas o código simplesmente não responde.

O bit do programa que está falhando está localizado dentrovoid dictionaryMenu(vector <WordInfo> &wordInfoVector) e lê

         cin.clear();

para chegar a esse ponto do programa, o usuário deve optar por adicionar uma palavra e, em seguida, adicionar um sinônimo.
