Instalação do RMongo falha com falha de segmentação no Ubuntu

Estive nas últimas horas tentando instalar oRMongo pacote com a seguinte saída:

Também identifiquei o mesmo erro ao tentar instalarxlsx.

Não sei o que mudou nas distros anteriores, pois tentei isso com o Ubuntu 16.04.2 e o Ubuntu 17.04, com o mesmo resultado.
