Fundo:

A Apple fornece um "modo de quiosque" para seus iPads como parte do iOS6, que bloqueia o dispositivo em um aplicativo (até mesmo inicializa diretamente no aplicativo também). Ótimo para usar iPads no varejo / restaurantes / etc.

Para utilizá-lo, o dispositivo deve primeiro ser configurado como um dispositivo "Supervisionado" usando o Apple Configurator. Você adiciona uma entrada especial a um perfil de configuração chamado "App Lock". Eu segui odocumento do perfil de configuração atualizado recentemente. Essencialmente, você apenas configura o PayloadType como 'com.apple.app.lock' e adiciona uma propriedade chamada 'Identifier' que é configurada com o valor do ID do pacote do seu aplicativo.

Quando tento adicionar o perfil de configuração ao iPad (seja através de um link do Safari, MDM ou Apple Configurator), ele o rejeita.
