Estou tentando incorporar a API de rosto do Google Play Services 7.8 no meu aplicativo, mas sempre que tento detectar rostos, ocorre o erro:

FaceDetectorHandle detector O detector de rosto nativo ainda não está disponível. Revertendo para detecção não operacional

De acordo com a parte inferior do postAndroid-er Detecção de Rosto, esse problema ocorre em dispositivos executando o Lollipop ou posterior. Especificamente, eles disseram que funciona em um "RedMi 2, executando o Android 4.4.4 com a versão 7.8.99 dos serviços Google Play instalada, mas não em um Nexus 7 2012 (SEM câmera frontal) executando o Android 5.1.1, com o mesmo Google Play services versão 7.8.99 instalada. " Também não funciona no meu OnePlus One executando o 5.0.2. Alguém sabe a causa ou correção? Eventualmente, instalará a biblioteca e funcionará?

Edit: Aqui estão alguns logs. Eu apenas copiei os logs de aviso e mais altos na época em que o detector de rosto foi usado, portanto, pode não ser relevante.
