Não é possível remover o espaçamento extra de linhas no JTextPane para conteúdo html

Não consigo espremer as linhas em um JavaJTextPane se eu definir o tipo de conteúdo comotext/html. Gostaria que estivessem tão próximos quanto quando o tipo de conteúdo étext/plain, o padrão.

oline-height, top-margin, ... As propriedades CSS não parecem ajudar :(.

Esta é a saída do meu programa de amostra, que mostra que as linhas ocupam mais espaço quando um editor HTML lida com a renderização:
