como extrudar um caminho em 3d?
Estou tentando extrudar um caminho em 3d. Nada extravagante ainda, apenas seguindo alguns pontos e usando um polígono regular para 'tubulação'. Eu estou usando o Processing por agora para prototipar rapidamente, mas depois vou transformar o código em OpenGL.
Meu problema é girar as "juntas" nos ângulos retos. Eu acho que tenho uma idéia aproximada de como obter os ângulos, não tenho certeza.
Eu comecei a partir de uma amostra por Simon Greenwold (Processamento> Arquivo> Exemplos> 3D> Formulário> Vértices) .Aqui está minha tentativa até agora:

O problema é que as juntas não estão no ângulo certo, então a extrusão parece errada. Este não é um bom exemplo, pois isso pode ser conseguido com um torno. Se eu conseguir um torno para trabalhar com um conjunto arbitrário de pontos e um eixo que será ótimo. Estou usando a extrusão porque estou tentando criar corpos geométricos baseados na arte de Liviu Stoicoviciu.

Como você pode ver na imagem dos triângulos, isso seria conseguido com extrusões.

Eu refatorei o código, então agora a classe que costumava ser chamada CShape é chamada de Extrude, o código é menor e espero simples, e eu uso uma matriz de objetos PVector em vez de um vetor de objetos PVector que pode ser confuso.

O caminho azul é equivalente ao array de pontos [] PVector no meu código, se pointsNum = 6. O caminho vermelho é o que eu estou tentando resolver, o caminho verde é o que eu quero alcançar.

Alguns pequenos problemas com a ordem dos vértices eu acho. Aqui estão algumas telas de impressão usando 6 pontos e nenhuma condição estrela (se / senão% 2).
