Como adicionar o cache LDAP no LDAP do Spring?

Eu quero armazenar em cache os dados do usuário LDAP localmente para permitir consultas mais rápidas. O Spring LDAP oferece essa funcionalidade? Como posso fazer isso?

Estou usando o Spring Security 3.1 e o Spring LDAP 1.3.1 para autenticação e autorização. Seria bom ter um cache para LDAP usando o mecanismo embutido, se existir.
