Obtenga el texto de la etiqueta con jquery

Quiero hacer algo muy simple, pero no tengo éxito. Tengo un botón y una etiqueta en mi página asp.net y quiero obtener el texto de la etiqueta después de hacer clic en el botón. Aquí está mi código:
