Estoy tratando de hacer una trama con emojis en ggplot2. Lo que quiero es mostrar emojis en lugar de etiquetas o mostrar como geom.Esta pregunta en Stack es muy similar a mi problema, pero tampoco lo resuelve, la respuesta es bastante manual y necesito hacerla automática (mi marco de datos real tiene 3000 filas).

Solo para aclarar en este gráfico a continuación, quiero mostrar emojis en lugar de etiquetas de texto o dentro de las barras. Pero parece imposible.

Después de probar diferentes soluciones, estoy apilado para que cualquier ayuda sea apreciada. Leí diferentes maneras de enfrentar el problema comoaquí, aquí, aquí.

Mi último intento fue así:

mult_format <- function() {
  function(x) emo::ji(x)
}
ggplot(foo, aes(name_emoji, n)) + 
  geom_bar(stat = "identity") +
  coord_flip() +
  scale_y_continuous(labels = mult_format())

Pero no funciona.

Mis datos se ven así, name_emoji cames frompaquete emo, y también puedo cambiarlo a byte:
