Cambiar el tamaño del círculo Path2D haciendo clic y arrastrando su borde exterior

Entonces, cuando hago clic y arrastro un círculo Path2D en mi JPanel, se está redimensionando. El problema es que cuando inicialmente hago clic y lo arrastro, el círculo salta a un tamaño más pequeño, pero luego cambia de tamaño correctamente al hacer clic y arrastrar. La forma más fácil de demostrar es ejecutar el siguiente código ejecutable.

no estoy segurocómo, aunque. Estoy haciendo clic en el borde exterior del círculo, y luego estoy configurando ellargo y ancho de los límites del círculo a donde está el nuevo punto del mouse ... pero lo que necesito hacer es el borde exterior de las coordenadas del círculo a los nuevos puntos del mouse. ¿Alguna idea sobre cómo calcular el punto correcto?
