Estoy trabajando en el libro "Integración perfecta de R y C ++ con Rcpp". Estoy usando la versión R 3.1.0 en Ubuntu 12.04. No puedo entender cómo vincular correctamente las bibliotecas necesarias. Tengo el siguiente código en R:

parece que simplemente necesito instalar el compilador FORTRAN. Sin embargo, he instalado gfortran usando el administrador de paquetes de Ubuntu y sigo recibiendo el mismo error. Desde la terminal:

Tampoco he tenido éxito al intentar usar las funciones CxxFlags () y LdFlags (). Cualquier sugerencia es bienvenida.
