Tengo un código básico que puede recorrer algunos XML generados desde Adobe RoboHelp (para nuestra documentación de ayuda). Esto funciona bien, pero como un tema se puede anidar tantas veces como quiera el escritor, necesito una mejor manera de recorrer este XML en lugar de solo anidar..each() bucles

A <page> es un articulo, y un<book> es una carpeta

Es mi código jQuery, que solo puede mirar un nivel de etiquetas.

Sé que hay una mejor manera de recorrer todos los elementos y luego determinar si el elemento tiene hijos, etc., pero no puedo pensar en cómo hacerlo.
