Heyo Me disculpo de antemano si esta pregunta ha sido respondida en otro hilo. He buscado en el sitio pero no encontré una respuesta. Sin embargo, el problema relacionado más cercano fueRuby on Rails / PostgreSQL - Error de biblioteca no cargada al iniciar server- libq.5.dylib, pero nunca se resolvió, y la respuesta no me ayuda.

Estoy tratando de ejecutar PostgreSQL en mi Mac OSX 10.6.8. Ya tengo Ruby 1.9.3p392 y Rails 3.2.13 instalados.

Desde que tengo 10.6.8, y PostGresApp requiere 10.7+, intenté instalar PG usando el instalador manual (v9.2.3) disponible aquí:http://www.enterprisedb.com/products-services-training/pgdownload

Primero lo instalé en su ruta predeterminada en: /Library/PostgreSQL/9.2/. Entonces instalé la gema pg (PATH=$PATH:/Library/PostgreSQL/9.2/bin sudo gem install pg). Cuando lo intenterails s para lanzar mi localhost, recibí el error de abajo.

Después de algunas lecturas, supuse que podría ser un error de ruta, así que eliminé la gema pg y luego usé el desinstalador postgresql. Luego reinstalé pg en /users/stewartmccoy/Library/PostgreSQL/9.2/... y luego reinstalé la gema de pg. Pero sigo teniendo el mismo error.

¿Alguna idea sobre cómo puedo instalar correctamente PostgreSQL y hacer que mi servidor Rails funcione?
