o serviço wcf não permite o POST

Eu sou bastante novo para webervices em geral e estou ficando preso (eu acho) configurando o IIS e o webservice em si.

Eu criei um webservice wcf no MVS 2010 e hospedei-o no IIS7.5 no windows 7. Eu uso o soapUI 4.5.0 para postar uma mensagem gerada a partir da mesma descrição wsdl com a qual criei o contrato do serviço web. O problema é que recebo 405 devido ao fato de que o http POST não parece ser suportado pelo webservice ou pelo servidor da web.

Mesmo que eu tenha tido a ideia de que o erro que recebo seria suficiente para resolver o meu problema, minha falta de conhecimento sobre o IIS e os serviços da Web faz com que eu não consiga encontrar a solução certa.

Abaixo, tanta informação quanto eu poderia pensar. Espero que seja de alguma ajuda e alguém possa me guiar na direção certa.

Configurações feitas no IIS:

Regra de autorização: permitir, todos os usuários

Navegação no diretório: ativadaMapeamentos do manipulador: permissões de recursos: ler, criar scripts e executarMapeamentos do manipulador: adicionado * .wsdl -> ProtocolSupportModule -> GET, HEAD, OPTIONS, TRACE, POSTPools de aplicativos: entrada adicionada com identidade NetworkService usando .net fw 4.0
