Entity Framework Core no Windows IoT em execução em um RPi 3 (aplicativo de console)

Implantei com êxito um aplicativo .NET Core Console na minha Internet das coisas do Windows executando em um Raspberry Pi 3.

O aplicativo extrai dados de um serviço da web e os armazena em um banco de dados. Eu usei o Entity Framework Core para isso.

Quando inicio o aplicativo de console implantado (.exe) por meio do PowerShell remoto, tudo funciona, exceto o acesso ao meu banco de dados em execução no Azure. Quando o aplicativo tenta ler do banco de dados, lança a seguinte exceção:

Não há 'sni.dll' na pasta do aplicativo.

Implantou o aplicativo usando o tempo de execução 'win8-arm'.

netcoreapp2.0SDK do .NET Core 2.0 (tempo de execução e ferramentas)

Alguma idéia do que está errado?

A cópia do System.Data.SqlClient.dll (lib unix) e a substituição do existente na pasta do aplicativo resolveram o problema. Veja a resposta abaixo.
