WebDriverException: Mensagem: O comando 'GET / session / 7… / display' não foi encontrado durante a Explicit Wait com safaridriver e Selenium 3.13.0

Estou usando a espera explícita como abaixo para verificar se o elemento é clicável.

WebDriverWait(driver, 30).until(
        expected_conditions.element_to_be_clickable((By.CSS_SELECTOR, "#search")))

Mas eu recebo erro

 <class 'selenium.common.exceptions.WebDriverException'>
Message: The command 'GET /session/.../displayed' was not found.

Se eu usartime.sleep() funciona bem, em vez de explicitamente esperar, funciona bem. Inicializei o driver do safari como

from selenium.webdriver import Safari
driver = Safari()
