Problema ao executar o campo do navegador com "; deviceside = true" no BlackBerry sim

Estou tentando usar o código de exemplo fornecido noApress Advanced BlackBerry Development livro. O problema é que, quando inicio o simulador com o MDS, a página da Web é exibida. Mas quando anexo "; deviceside = true" ao URL e inicio o simulador sem o MDS, a página da Web não é exibida. Somente uma tela branca é exibida.
