Como selecionar todo o texto na célula JTable ao editar

Gostaria que o editor em minhas JTables editáveis selecionasse todo o texto da célula ao iniciar a edição. Eu tentei algumas coisas que giram em torno de chamar JTextComponent.selectAll () no componente retornado do método TableCellEditor.getTableCellEditorComponent. Nenhuma das coisas que tentei funcionou.

Na minha tentativa mais recente, alterei a classe SimpleTableDemo no tutorial do Swing para usar um TableCellEditor personalizado que chama o método selectAll. No depurador, vejo que o método selectAll () está sendo chamado, mas a tabela ainda entra no modo de edição sem selecionar o texto na célula (ou talvez a seleção esteja sendo limpa antes da exibição). Esse código está abaixo. Alguém pode me dizer onde estou errado?
