Exceção ao usar TestRestTemplate

Eu tenho um aplicativo SpringBoot comum com filtro de autenticação personalizado, que funciona normalmente.

Mas eu tenho um problema ao usar TestRestTemplate no teste de integração.

Gostaria de verificar aqui se o usuário com credenciais incorretas não pode fazer login. Mas, em vez de ResponseEntity com status 401, recebi Exception:

Internamente, a primavera lança org.springframework.security.authentication.BadCredentialsException, mas no uso real do aplicativo é traduzida para a resposta json.

Ao usar curl, obtive resposta normal.
