Eu uso uma extensão chrome para disparar dois scripts de conteúdo para injetar css. Se o usuário abrir a página, o contentcript-on.js será carregado (definido no meu manifest.json):

Tudo funciona bem, mas como posso salvar o "estado" do ícone? Se o usuário fechar o navegador e abri-lo novamente, o último conteúdo utilizado deverá ser carregado.
