Eu tentei muitas variantes desta regra, mas eu sempre recebo um erro 500:

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /book.php?url=$1 [L]

E isso está no error.log do meu Apache:

O que estou perdendo, porque o loop de redirecionamento?
