Eu estou tentando reescrever meuForestPad aplicação utilizando o WPF para a camada de apresentação. No WinForms, estou preenchendo cada nó programaticamente, mas gostaria de aproveitar os recursos de ligação de dados do WPF, se possível.

Em geral, qual é a melhor maneira de vincular bidirecional o WPF TreeView para um documento Xml?

Uma solução genérica é boa, mas para referência, a estrutura do documento Xml que estou tentando vincular tem esta aparência:
