GlassFish 4.0 w / Jersey retorna 500 erro de servidor interno sem exceção

Estou usando um servidor GlassFish 4.0 e classes baseadas em JPA do lado do servidor, que desejo entregar via JAX-RS. Isso funciona bem até agora para entidades simples. No entanto, se eu tiver uma relação @OneToMany, por exemplo, e houver uma entidade vinculada, o servidor retornará um erro interno de 500 servidores. Nesse caso, nada é registrado no log do servidor. Para encontrar o erro, criei uma pequena página JSP personalizada para obter mais informações sobre o que aconteceu. O código é apenas isto:

Status: <%= pageContext.getErrorData().getStatusCode() %>
Throwable: <%= pageContext.getErrorData().getThrowable() %>

Infelizmente, a saída é apenas "Status: 500 Throwable: null"

Meu próprio código do lado do servidor parece rodar corretamente (alguma saída de depuração), mas, no entanto, algum erro aparece. Neste exemplo, as classes Usuário e Problema podem ser recuperadas sem um problema, a menos que haja uma entidade IssueComment vinculada:

Eu deixei de fora o código-fonte do cliente desde que é do lado do servidor e pode ser reproduzido com um navegador normal, por isso não há necessidade de código do cliente aqui IMHO.
