Antes de postar esta pergunta, pesquisei muito, mas não consegui encontrar respostas claras sobre esse problema.

Eu tenho que substituir a seleção de texto padrão do android webview e mostrar minhas opções de diálogo de seleção de texto personalizado. Eu tentei este código de exemploprojeto.

Este projeto de amostra funciona nos seguintes dispositivos e emulador:

Não está funcionando nos seguintes dispositivos:

No Android OS versão 4.1 e 4.1+ em vez de mostrar o meu diálogo de opção de seleção de texto personalizado, ele mostra a barra de ação padrão do sistema android para seleção de texto.
