Estou tentando algo muito parecido comsubprocesso em tempo real. Preencher via stdout e PIPE

Eu, no entanto, quero enviar a entrada para o processo em execução também.

Se eu iniciar um processo em um thread separado usando

process = subprocess.Popen(cmd,stdout=subprocess.PIPE, stderr=subprocess.STDOUT)

Eu posso enviar entrada usando o terminal.

Como eu iria enviar a entrada de outra fonte, como função separada não no segmento?

Não posso usarPopen.communicate como o processo de execução nunca terminará, pois estou tentando interagir em tempo real com o programa.
