estou usandojQuery litebox. Depois de adicionar arquivos JS e CSS, recebi esse erro TypeError:

$(...).on is not a function at this line in js file                                           
 "return  $('body').on('click',       
'a[rel^=lightbox], area[rel^=lightbox]', function(e) {" 

Alguém pode me ajudar a entender o problema aqui?

Eu estou fazendo essa implementação no CakePHP 1.3.
