Eu tenho um script em lotes que se parece com isso:

Eu gostaria de dividir o código dentro de "& {...}" em várias linhas para facilitar a leitura.

este post diz que usando um backtick à direita deve fazer o truque, mas quando eu escrevo:

powershell -noprofile -command "&{`
    $process = start-process powershell -ArgumentList '-noprofile -noexit -file GetTools.ps1' -verb RunAs -PassThru;`
    $process.WaitForExit();`
}"

... isto é, eu termino cada linha com um backtick à direita, então recebo o seguinte erro:

Incomplete string token.
At line:1 char:4

    + CategoryInfo          : ParserError: (`:String) [], ParentContainsErrorRecordException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : IncompleteString

'$process' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

O que estou fazendo de errado?
