Estoy usando la herramienta wix 3.11 para crear un msi que instale un servicio. El instalador ejecuta una acción personalizada y devuelve vars a wix para escribir en el registro (HKLM). El servicio se inicia e intenta leer el registro, pero no se puede hacer y falla. Si escribí el registro manualmente, el instalador funciona perfectamente.

Mensaje de error de los registros de msi:

Product: Installer-- Error 1920. Service 'XPTO Server' (xpto_server) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

EDIT: cuando escribí manualmente los vars en Registry, el servicio se instala con msi pkg o se ejecuta con sc.exe
