NullPointerException en android.widget.ArrayAdapter.createViewFromResource

Estoy creando una aplicación con actividad de preferencia donde las entradas de referencia de lista están asignadas problemáticamente. Esta aplicación funciona bien en mi emulador, pero mientras pruebo mi aplicación en un dispositivo móvil, muestra un error como este.

FATAL EXCEPTION: main

Este problema surge cuando hago clic en esa lista de referencia en mi móvil. aqui esta mi codigo
