He implementado una aplicación que utiliza la versión incrustada neo4j java en Jersey Tomcat para la API REST. Al medir el uso de la memoria con jconsole noté que cada llamada REST agrega 200Mb de memoria (lo cual creo que es porque todo el gráfico se carga en la memoria). Por lo tanto, con solo 5 llamadas, el servidor asigna 1 Gb de memoria, ¡lo cual es mucho! Para limpiar la memoria, tengo que esperar al recolector de basura (umbral establecido en 1Gb).

¿Es un comportamiento normal porque estoy usando la versión incrustada de neo4j java o estoy haciendo algo terriblemente mal? ¿Qué debo hacer para liberar memoria cuando finaliza la llamada a la API?
