¿Cuál es la diferencia entre poner guión en cabeza y cuerpo?

Estaba teniendo un problema.

Cuando pongo scripts en cabeza, el resultado muestra 0

Cuando intenté poner los scripts en el cuerpo, el resultado muestra 2. ¿Por qué hay tanta diferencia? ¿Cual es la diferencia principal?
