Bei der Beibehaltung der Konfigurationsdatei im WIX Major Upgrade bleiben!
ARGH! Wix macht mich verrückt.
Also, natürlich habe ich die vielen Posts sowohl hier über Stackoverflow als auch anderswo über WiX und wichtige Upgrades gesehen. Ich habe dieses Softwareprojekt mit WiX geerbt und veröffentliche eine neue Version. Ich benötige diese neue Version, um NUR die eine Konfigurationsdatei zu belassen, falls vorhanden, und alles andere zu ersetzen. Dieses Installationsprogramm funktioniert AUSSER, was ich bisher getan habe. Die neue XML-Datei ersetzt die alte bei jeder Installation. Sogar der Versuch, NeverOverwrite = "yes" zu verwenden, und der Versuch, mit OnlyDetect = "no" hin und her zu spielen! Ich stecke einfach fest und bitte demütig um eine kleine Anleitung. Die aufzubewahrende Datei heißt SETTINGS.XML und befindet sich im Verzeichnis All Users-> ApplicationData. Hier ist (der größte Teil) meiner .wxs-Datei!
