Потратил пару очень разочаровывающих дней, пытаясь заставить пространственный тип DbGeography работать в Windows Azure. У меня есть проект Windows Azure с веб-ролью, где я использую метод DbGeography.Distance () для вычисления расстояний. Работает как очарование на моем локальном компьютере, но после публикации в Azure я получаю исключение:

Я следил за сообщением в блогеhttp://alastaira.wordpress.com/2011/08/19/spatial-applications-in-windows-azure-redux-including-denali/ добавление ссылки на Sql.Server.Types и SqlServerSpatial.dll, msvcp100.dll и msvcr100.dll. На самом деле Thist работал с EF5 и проектом веб-сайта Azure, но не сейчас, когда я обновился до EF6 и проекта облачной службы :(
