проблема

Фрагмент не присоединяется к своему хостовому ViewPager после возврата из другого фрагмента.

ситуация

Одна активность, в которой размещается фрагмент, макет которого содержит ViewPager (PageListFragment в приведенном ниже примере). ViewPager заполняется FragmentStateViewPagerAdapter. Отдельные фрагменты, размещенные внутри пейджера (PageFragment в приведенном ниже примере) можно открыть списки подстраниц, содержащие новый набор страниц.

Поведение

Все работает нормально, пока не нажата кнопка назад. Как только пользователь закрывает один из подстраниц, воссоздается предыдущий список, но без страницы, которая отображалась ранее. Пролистывание других страниц в родительском PageList все еще работает.
