Cliente Java SockJS Spring e tamanho da mensagem

Usando o cliente java SockJS, estou tentando conectar ao servidor Spring sockjs e está recebendo o erro 1009 para mensagens (sem cabeçalhos) de ~ 20Kb. Biblioteca Javascript funciona bem.

Transport closed with CloseStatus[code=1009, reason=The decoded text message was too big 
for the output buffer and the endpoint does not support partial messages] in WebSocketClientSockJsSession

Eu tenho algumas classes de configuração no servidor (não sei no momento se estou configurando essas coisas mais vezes do que o necessário):

De acordo comA mensagem Stomp Spring Web socket excede o limite de tamanho isso deve ajudar, mas ao conectar o cliente Java Spring SockJS, ainda recebo o erro 1009 (mensagem muito grande).

Suspeito, portanto, que possa ter um dos dois problemas:

O cliente Java SockJS também deve ser configurado para RECEBER mensagens maiores.Ou ainda estou mal configurado no servidor.

Como posso aumentar o tamanho do buffer no cliente Java SockJS Spring?
