Desenhar personagem no centro do controle personalizado - Font Awesome Glyph

Estou tentando criar um controle de usuário personalizado que exibirá Glyphs impressionantes de fontes dentro do botão winforms.
Encontrei repositório GitHub com controle semelhante, mas gostaria de usar o Button como base do meu controle.
Sou capaz de mostrar glifo, mas não consigo alinhá-lo corretamente:

A linha pontilhada verde mostra o tamanho do botão, as linhas azuis indicam o centro de controle e as linhas vermelhas mostram o retângulo quegraphics.MeasureString está voltando.

MinhasOnPaint O método se parece com isso:

Eu tentei usar a solução deessa questão mas sem sorte.

Como posso desenhar um caractere único (glifo) no centro exato do meu controle (o centro de controle e o centro do glifo devem estar alinhados)
